Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, The Wright Institute
M.A in Clinical Psychology, The Wright Institute
B.A. in Psychology, University of California, Santa Cruz
Bringing over a decade of clinical work to my psychotherapy practice, I have a passion for helping folks who feel anxious and stuck in their life. My journey in psychology began at the University of California, Santa Cruz where I received my B.A. with honors in the intensive psychology major. During my undergraduate years, I actively contributed to various research studies and conducted my own fieldwork and research study, igniting a profound passion for the field of psychology.
I attended graduate school at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California, where I earned my Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology). My graduate training provided me with invaluable opportunities to engage with a diverse range of clients across various clinical settings. Notably, I dedicated over two years to working at specialized Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) clinics within the Bay Area, where I received extensive training in traditional CBT, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) under the guidance of industry experts.
Witnessing the transformative impact of evidence-based care on clients, I made the decision to specialize in this modality, shaping my career trajectory. My love for the outdoors and familial connections in the Pacific Northwest drew me to Seattle, where I completed my doctoral internship at the University of Washington Counseling Center. Subsequently, I pursued advanced postdoctoral training at the Evidence Based Treatment Centers of Seattle (EBTCS), focusing on anxiety-based treatments within the Anxiety Center. Upon completion, I stayed on as a staff psychologist. These experiences culminated in four years of dedicated clinical work within the Anxiety Center at EBTCS where I worked primarily with OCD and anxiety-related disorders.
As a graduate of the International OCD Foundation’s Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) and with years of hands-on experience, I am a specialist in the evidence-based treatments of anxiety and related disorders. With thousands of hours of clinical experience utilizing CBT, ACT, ERP, and other therapeutic interventions, I have had the privilege of assisting clients from diverse backgrounds and across the lifespan. Whether you are embarking on your first therapy journey or seeking support after previous treatment attempts, I strive to offer a compassionate yet precise approach rooted in science-backed practices.
If you are seeking a therapist who combines clinical precision with empathy and compassion, I encourage you to reach out. Together, we can navigate the path towards growth and healing.
